Bingham Hall in Cirencester offers a range of rooms for hire. Next to the main concert hall auditorium runs a long, low building, which regularly serves as an indoor rifle range.
On the day I made this picture, a large serving hatch in one wall was open, through which tea and biscuits were being served. These folding chairs were leaning neatly around the walls, basking in the warmth filtering down from an overhead skylight.
Guessing their vintage, I'd say they'd supported the social activities of at least three generations of people.
